Lilypie First Birthday tickers

the bad news is that Time Flies...but the GOOD news is you're now the Pilot.

First off can I just say that I wish
SUMMER
WOULD COME ALREADY!!
Why does Utah have to have such tempramental
weather. In 4 days alone we had
Rainy
then
Sunny
then
Snowy
then
Windy

GAH!!
I just want the sun & some shine.
PLEASE!

As for us Myers we're starting our final month at our apartment.
I'm not looking forward to packing
as you all know my disgust for it,
but I am looking forward to cleaning the place.
Is that weird?
One of my favorite things to buy is new cleaning products.
Ok...that does make me weird.
We will be moving in with Will's dad for a few months
while we are in the process of finding/buying a house.
My sister-in-law has also moved back into the house since
she does with school till fall.

Lets just say this shall be quite an interesting experience.

SAN DIEGO is in 26 days!!
Pretty stoked for that. In all the years the Shepherd families have been going there
(over a 40 year time span at least!)
its been an adventure with where we stay.
In the very beginning when
Shara, Johnny, Katie, and I went we were the only grandkids
so everyone smooshed into condo # 101
with my grandparents.
Their condo had a master room/bath & then one other bedroom that
has a full size bed & then bunkbeds.
Kitchen, dining room & living room as well,
with the couch being a pull out bed too.
Not a ton of room, but it worked.
As the years have gone by
with more and more children born
families began having to rent more then one condo
with 2 families in each.
I've always slept in 101 with my grandparents
on their bedroom floor, Katie usually sleeping next to me.

This year is a first for us.
Shara is married + 2 kids.
Katie is married.
I am married.
There is NO room for us to try & fit into any other condos
with our families....since there are tons of kids in those as well.
The 3 of us are having/forced to rent our own condo!!
The $$ we have to spend blows
but it will be nice actually having our own place to ourselves
and not having to fight for a place to sleep.
I guess it means we really have grown up.
Being an adult is over-rated sometimes.
But #508 is quite nice
and I look forward to staying in it!

The bathroom & bedroom we'll be sharing
with Katie & Mikey.

I am just ready for some
FUN IN THE SUN!!!

That's kinda all for now.
OH but if you are a crafter in Utah County
check this place out!!
Yesterday was the grand opening
& I am now IN LOVE
with this store.

First camping trip on 2010

Will has been itching to go camping for at least a month now
and last weekend we finally went out west
with his dad.
That night was pretty cold
but the 3 of us squeezed into our little tent
and with the help of extra blankets,
slept great!
Will and his dad are quite seasoned campers,
I however, am not.
Except for girls camp
I never really camped anywhere without at LEAST
a port-a-potty.
Which are disgusting
but work.
The Myers are not those kind of campers.
They go into the middle of NOWHERE
to set up camp.
To say the least it is something I am still getting use to,
but don't want to.
But this trip was very fun and relaxing.
Will had custom ordered a new gun
15 months ago and just recently
was able to pick it up.
The bottom one is his new one.
Looks like a plastic toy gun.
Anyways my main goal of the trip was to
actually HIT a clay pigeon with the shoot gun.
I got
1 out of 3
and called it a day.
Those 3 shoots alone gave me a nice bruise
and made my arms sore the next day.
I spent the rest of the day reading, enjoying the sun
while the guys did their thing.

Will is quite amazing at shooting.
He always hits the clay pigeons,
even when we throw out 2 or 3 at a time.
But then again he has grown up shooting
and always was award excellent at the shooting range
when he was in the Marine Corps.

Out west. WAY out west.
I also got to wear my cowboy hat.
I know this trip will be one of many
this year.

Here are some pics off Will's iPhone
that I found....
From last fall when Will
sliced his hand at work.

From our Montana trip
in November.
My first time in a ground blind.
(Camoflage tent thing for hunting)

Roses Will brought home for me
a few weeks ago
for no reason.
<3

And lastly some fun doodling
I did while bored at AF court.
(I wasn't there for me, but as a court attendent for my job).

With the Good comes the Bad.

A Smile is a Curve that sets everything right.

It's been awhile since our blog has been updated
and my awesome excuse is that
we still have no internet @ our apartment
with the exception of Will's iPhone.

An update for Will isn't anything too exciting.
He's still working his butt off pretty much 7 days a week.
Last week alone he worked 68 hours.
I am VERY grateful to have a husband
who is a very hardworker and has great work ethic.
I credit the Marine Corps and simply how he was raised.
The boy knows how to get dirty and work.

As for myself I am still at Alliance Clinical Services
and loving it. That job never gets old.
And every day is different.
BUT
I finally made an appointment with my Orthopedic Doctor
to get some updated x-rays of my back
to see if the curves in my Scoliosis has changed in 5 years.
Amazingly enough....IT HADN'T!!
Which is very great news.......
unfortunately with it came not so great news...
When the doctor was testing my reflexes he detected
that I have quite overreactive nerves
and became worried about my Tethered Spinal Cord.
He scheduled me for a MRI, CT scan, and a L Spine scan
for later in the week, along with an appointment
with a Neurologist.
I became a little curious as to why the doctor was so concerned about my spinal cord.
So I did a little research....
Hyperreflexia is defined as overactive or overresponsive reflexes. Examples of this can include twitching or spastic tendencies, which are indicative of upper motor neuron disease as well as the lessening or loss of control ordinarily exerted by higher brain centers of lower neural pathways (disinhibition).
This for me explained the crazy twitches I always get
throughout my body at the most random times.
The Tethered Spinal Cord research kinda blew me away though...

Tethered Spinal Cord Syndrome  is a rare neurological disorder (occurring in 0.05 to 0.25 of 1000 births) caused by tissue attachments that limit the movement of the spinal cord within the spinal column. These attachments cause an abnormal stretching of the spinal cord. This stretching interferes with the function of the nerves in the spinal cord and can cause problems with sensation, movement, and control of body functions.
In this variation, the filum terminale (which joins the spinal cord to the backbone) thickens or hardens and causes downward pressure on the spinal cord. This can actually cause scoliosis as well as most of the other symptoms of the more typical tethered cord.
In adults, onset of symptoms typically include severe pain (in the lower back and radiating into the legs, groin, and perineum), bilateral muscle weakness, and bladder and/or bowel incontinence. Neurological symptoms can include a mixed picture of upper and lower motor neuron findings, such as amyotrophy, hyperreflexia, and pathologic plantar response, occurring in the same limb. Profound sensory changes, such as loss of pain, temperature, and proprioceptive sensations, are common. Last, progressive symptoms of a neuropathic bladder are noted on over 70 percent of adult patients, versus only 20 to 30 percent of children. These symptoms include urinary frequency and urgency, feeling of incomplete voiding, poor voluntary control, and urge and stress incontinence. Chronic recurrent infections are common and occasionally lead to nephrolithiasis (kidney stones), renal failure, or renal transplantation. Female patients also give a history of ineffective labor and postpartum rectal prolapse, presumably due to an atonic pelvic floor.

Uhhhhh.....yeah.
Now out of those symptoms I have the lower back pain
(actually my entire back aches ),
my hands and feet are constantly cold,
and the tips of my fingers always feel numb,
random spasms and twitches.
I also get sharp shooting pains in my arms and legs,
  quite overreactive nerves,
and sorry if TMI
but I do feel like I gotta pee all the time.
My appointment with the Neurologist is on
April 8th.
I'm anxious to find out whats really going on.

And on top of that I'm pretty sure I has some
serious Carpal Tunnel in both wrists.
My hand always get numb
and
"the pins and needles" feeling
wakes me up multiple times at night.
When its at its worse my wrists begin to ache
and a mixture of sharp & dull pains
work their way up to my elbows,  and higher.
Then they just ache to hold anything.
For example it'll hurt you hold a book, my cell phone to talk...
It's a pain quite honestly.

Anywoo....
that's what is going on with the Myers.
Sorry for the lack of updates.
What we have to look forward to is:
San Diego the end of May!!
Going out west to shoot some guns
and go camping.
And just life in general.

There's always the bad things in life.
But I just can't help
but Smile.....

Life is Good.

Whoa...Time Flies...2010

First post of 2010!
My bad.
So I haven't update since November
and its weird because of how OBSESSED I use to be.
But ever since we moved to Draper
we haven't had a computer & have lived off the internet
on Will's iPhone.

I'm going to a quick run through.

November:
 So nothing too new happened.
The Mazda got fixed (YAY)
and Will was still working at his job doing getting all the
electric wiring done for a new ebay data center.

December:
We are kinda scrooges & put up NO christmas decorations.
Whatsoever.
No tree. Nothing.
Will figures we have no kids yet.
And no one was going to see our apartment anyways
and it'd be pointless.
(which ended up being true).
We have both had a hard time with this holiday for quite awhile.
Neither of us like the pressure or presents,
or christmas shopping.
People have told us it'll be better once we have kids
and we look forward for that experience.

However christmas was fun,
and we enjoyed getting to see family.
Of course I also took NO pictures which is strange for me,
a picture addict.

January:
I rang in the New Year alone.
Will of course had to work
and since his hours have been
5:30pm to 4am
for quite some time,
obviously we don't get to hang out at nights.
It has been hard with work hours
but we've managed.
We're still in Draper and I promise to post pics of our apartment soon.

February:
Ahhh Valentines Day is coming.
Another holiday.
2010 is going very fast is seems.
Will is almost done with this job
and maybe we'll get normal hours again.
I'm still at ACS
and since I work evenings there right now its helped with us getting to spend time together.

So
luckily today was Super Bowl Sunday
and we've been at Will's dads watching the game.
So heres a quick, kinda lame blog update.
Will is standing next to me telling me to hurry
so we can go home....
welp love ya all.
And i promise to do better this year!!
Love Will & Tacy

Oops!

Spoils of Tacy's first car accident.
(Not my fault either!!)
Driving on Alpine/Highland Hwy during a snow storm
and hit a slick spot.
I did a 180 from my lane and ended up in the median lane.
And the stupid car behind me hit the same spot and slid into me!
No worries!
I am ok....

Where did the Days go?!

Holy Cow...
it's almost Thanksgiving...
2009 is nearly gone.
weird.

I need to play catch up since I've been slacking on the posts.
Here we go...it's gonna be a looong one.

Oh ya...that's right!
I probably have never mentioned that my sister-in-law
Cat has been involved in martial arts
for a few years now.
She started off with karate
and fell in love.
Cat has been training for the last 2 years
as a MMA fighter.
*Mixed Martial Arts for anyone who doesn't know what that means.
If you've ever watched UFC...that's it.
She has pretty much been training with guys because
there are really not many female fighters in Utah.

Anywoo her very first fight was a few weeks ago on
October 24th in Wendover
.

So Will & I headed up EARLY Saturday morning
after he got off work - so 5am.
The only thing Will asked was to make sure the Mazda had gas.
It had a half tank & Wendover isn't too far so I thought we were good.
WRONG!
About an hours or so into the trip Will notices the gas light is about to come on,
and we passed the last gas station about 20 minutes back.
This resulted in some arguing & raised voices.
We were tired and even I knew if we did run out of gas
we were going to be chillin on the side of the road for awhile.
I tried to be positive and told Will that we needed to have a good attitude,
and hopefully we'd make it to the gas station.
His response....
"My ATTITUDE is NOT going to CHANGE HOW MUCH GAS IS IN THE TANK!"
Ok then.
After what seemed the longest 25 minutes of my life
& a lot of silent praying
we made it to the gas station right outside Wendover!!
We got to the hotel and crashed till late afternoon,
and then met up with Cat at the buffet!!

Nice Cornrows right?
She got it done Thursday so her hair would keep out of her face during the fight.
And I gotta said it made her look pretty intimidating.
The fight started @ 8pm
so we along with my Father-in-law, Mother-in-law, and a few of Cats friends hung out
to save our seats.
The only crappy part was the fights were outside
and it was freezing.

*My Father-in-law Jeff & Cat an hour before the fight.
*And us freezing our butts off waiting for it to begin.

So instead of getting pictures of the fight
I handled the video camera, so no pics were taken.
It was a GREAT fight and Cat impressed the heck outta me!
Everyone was yelling and cheering.
They went all 3 rounds too.
Unfortunately she didn't win...
which honestly was not called right because
Cat beat the CRAP out of her opponent.
I am not being biased either.
When they announced the other girl the winner
everyone started booing!
And many drunk people stopped her in the casino
to tell her she should have won.
You can't really tell but she ended up with a cut on her nose.
The left side of her check was bruised and a little swollen
but that was it.
Cat informed us that the girl she fought was pretty banged up
and her eyes were almost swollen shut
because of the hits to the face Cat gave her during the 3rd round.
Like I said....Cat should have won.
*Her hair after the Cornrows came out.

Anyways it was a great experience for her
and now she can continue on with fighting.
She loves it...
Now personally I could not
do what she does.
Amen!

Now onto our Montana trip!!
It was my very first time in Montana period.
November 1st-6th.
Will's Grandpa Jerry & Step-Grandma Betty
live
in the little town of
Glasgow
!

Which is about a 12 hr drive.
We left Sunday night around 8pm
and Will pretty much drove the entire time except the last 3 hours.
Because of work his time clock is screwed up anyways.
The ride up was pretty easy
beside the herds of Elk we saw.
Will & his dad were freaking out and kept waking me up,
telling me to look!!
I'll admit there was a ton of them just crossing the road
and hanging out in the fields on the side.
I was still kind of sick so I ended up taking some Nyquil
and passed out about 3am.
We arrived in town Monday morning at 9:30am.
Gpa Jerry was heading in to knee replacement surgery that morning
so we got to the house
said hello to Betty since Jerry was already in surgery
and fell asleep till late afternoon.

They live on a whole bunch of land
and since Will is a hunter
he spent the first two days in his ground blind
with his bow waiting for a BIG buck!
It was my first experience with anything hunting...
The rules?
1: BE QUIET!

I have A.D.D.
and so after I finished my book
I got kinda bored.
I had the camera so of course I started taking pictures!

*Will trying to hid from the camera...tsk tsk...

And once Will told me I was making too much noise
I turned my ipod on...
and began my show!
Needless to say on the second day
after I got my series of giggles & coughing going on
Will kicked me out of the blind
for not being QUIET enough............
oops.
I think he realized that I really am not a country girl or hunter.
But I sure can dress like one!!!

The rest of the week was great to met some of Will's family
I hadn't yet met.
We saw Couples Retreat & Zombieland.
Tried a few of the towns classic little restaurants...

But the best part of the trip was getting to spend time together.
With his work hours being so crazy we rarely
get any quality time to just hang out.

We tell each other
"I like you"
a lot.
More than we say
I love you.
Because we know that we love each other.
But actually liking someone for who they are can be difficult sometimes.
For us it means more.
I think every couple have their own ways of expressing their love...
that is ours.

We got home late Friday night
and got up early to move on Saturday.
I've already expressed how much I hate moving.

But its done.
We are in our new home
and back to our every day lives.

And with Thanksgiving being just around the corner
I want to say that I am thankful
for Will & marriage because:

And boy did we find each other!!

Busy Busy Busy!

Ok. So I'm writing this post @ 1am
and we're heading to Montana
to visit Will's grandparents in a few hours.
I have never been there yet in the four years of
Will & I, although I've been invited many times.
I am excited cause I've never been to Montana
And a week to spend with Will
with NO work or anything!
YAY!

However we get back to Utah on Friday the 6th
and
MOVE SATURDAY the 7th.
Yup.
So I've been packing all afternoon and night
because we have to have everything packed up before we leave to Montana.
And packed our suitcase for the trip as well.
Will had to work today and won't be home till 2:30am.
So I hate packing because I get distracted very easy
and jump from project to project.
Example: Me posting a new blog post.
But I did get a lot done. But have more to do!
Like pack the entire kitchen.

Actually moving...this picture describes how I feel.

And the cherry on top?!
I started feeling sick yesterday.
I have a horrible cough and sore throat
feeling like crap is stuck in my throat...
I'm thinking Bronchitis.

But no worries.
I shall endure.
I always do!

We're off to Montana in a few hours!!
Toodles!
